Something new for 2012: judging the Blake Prize in religious art

Time to give something new a go, so I am one of the three judges in the Blake Prize in Religious Art for 2012. This prize is fairly prestigious (more than I realized) and has been around for 60 years. My job, or so I am told, is to provide judging advice on religious content.

  1. And why speaking of “judging advice on religious content” everyone concerned of course means simply applying the objective and universally recognised scientific principles of art codified by comrade Zhdanov, yes?

    Excellent.

Then I can look forward to the exhibition of works deemed to inspire the soldier and policeman to ever greater vigilance against pseudo-thought and the theologian to ever more penetrating scientific discovery.
