Karl Marx for Kids

I’m not sure about this one. It was made for a children’s program called ‘Histeria!’ which ran from 1998 to 2000. Are there comparable efforts out there for worthwhile children’s shows and picture books?

  1. Seems somewhat anachronistic- a Broadway musical with Brooklyn accents dressed in Soviet military uniforms with the hammer and sickle. If they were capable of this, I would attribute it to the Progressive Labor Party.

    1. Unfortunately, the reality is even more banal, as this show was just a way for Warner Bros, in the waning days of their foray into television animation (at least the good days, as I remember them), to fulfill the FCC educational programming requirements.

I’m disappointed that this song is pretty weak compared to most of this team’s work on other topics. Stalin himself made an appearance on the show here.

      Yeah, it’s not pretty.
