The Crucifixion of North Korea: an article by Carla Stea

Carla Stea has written a great piece on the DPRK (North Korea) and UN Security Council Resolution 2270. It is called ‘The Crucifixion of North Korea, The Demonisation of the DPRK’ and is published in the Australian Marxist Review.

  1. Nice to read an intelligent counter-argument for a change. I cannot help thinking that if they leave the DPRK in a situation where they have ‘nothing to lose’, then tragedy will be the logical outcome.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. While I can’t defend the DPRK to the extent Stea does, they have a point. Demonizing does far more harm than “good.” This is even truer on an individual level; Instead of trying to understand the country’s ideology and perspective and social/economic systems, let’s just make more fat jokes about its ~crazy~ leader. That’s the “easy” way out and it gets us nowhere, fast.
