  1. Roland, how do you reconcile your love of China and its masses with your own love of wilderness and solitude? Do you think you could handle being a Chinese factory worker? It’s a serious question, I’m not being sarcastic, as I’ve noticed many people who support Communism and mass movements tend to be the most highly developed individualists so I wonder how you would respond to suggestions of possible hypocrisy. Thanks!
